Transportation is easily accessible from 323, with a Green Line trolley stop only steps away. The public transportation system of the MBTA—known as the "T" to locals—can carry you to points as close as Fenway Park in Boston, or as far as Singing Beach in Manchester. Boylston Street—also known as Route 9—leads into Boston and out to Route 128, making Boston and the surrounding communities convenient by car as well.

Brookline Village to the east is an eclectic mix of old-world charm and urban flair, and is often compared to New York neighborhoods like SoHo and Greenwich Village. Coolidge Corner to the north offers trendy eateries, an independent bookstore, and the Coolidge Cinema with its restore Art Deco marquee. To the south are the neighborhoods of Pill Hill and The Point, offering a mix of substantial single-family homes and condominium buildings.

The "Emerald Necklace," the park system designed by Frederick Law Olmstead that graces Boston in the manner that its name suggests, offers walking and jogging paths from the Charles River to Jamaica Pond. To the west lie the Sargeant Estates and Fisher Hill, both home to many grand estates. Farther west are several large shopping malls and centers, including the Chestnut Hill Mall, which feature national chains and fine boutiques.
